(66) Rocketboy character mock-up idea

To try and get a better handle on the design of my Rocketboy character, I kitted up one of my toys and took some pictures. I'm debating making a jetpack out of clay, baking it, then making a mould and all that fun stuff.

Anyway,  I told a friend I'd upload some pictures once I got it pretty much figured out, and here we are.

March 16th 2010 Update:

Did a couple changes, and also sculpted up a Jetpack. Excuse the crude pictures on the jetpack, I was in a rush because my batteries were dying.

(64) More Layout

Here we have another layout. A crashed Japanese Zero hung up in some vines above a big ol' chasam. I got the idea from the Harrison Ford flick, 6 Days and 7 Nights. I'll put up another version after I get revisions.

And here's my Egyptian themed layout, plus a funky tonal, in preparation for BG Painting.

As always, click on them for bigger versions.

And, my epically dorky elder brother sent me more pictures to have fun with.
So I did.

I stylized them up in Photoshop a bit.

That's all for now.

(63) A Birthday

Another birthday. I'm a Valentine's Day baby.

21 Years ago today, I was quietly brought into this world, surveying my surroundings and absorbing the great new digs with silent interest.

And then the doctor smacked me, and I started bawling.

Maybe this new place wasn't so great after all...

That's how my parents tell the tale.

(62) John. J.

I had a little Rambo marathon this weekend, watching all 4. It inspired me to do a little caricature while watching.

Also watched both seasons of Rome, and some Asterix and Obelix.

Good weekend.

(61) Zombie Bashin' Bob

My brother, being the epic dork that he is, sent me several pictures of himself in various action poses for no apparent reason.

I had some fun with them, and he really liked it.
